The Art of Needlework, An Exhibit of Contemporary Embroidery

The Neapolitan Chapter will be hosting its bi-annual exhibit,  “The Art of Needlework, An Exhibit of Contemporary Embroidery” Thursday-Saturday, February 20-22, 2014.  In addition to viewing the exhibit of members’ needlework, visitors can stop by the Tea Cup Auction to check out the lined Shaker sewing basket with its bargello lid, meet “Tilly” the turtle, or drool over the box of silk-ribbon chocolates (like those which won the People’s Choice Award at Neapolitan’s last show).  And, of course, there will be a boutique with small handmade items to give as gifts or to keep for yourself.   And before you leave, cast a vote for your favorite embroidered item.  The exhibit will be held in the Auditorium at Moorings Park, 120 Moorings Park Drive, Naples, Florida.  Exhibit hours are 12:00 pm – 4:00 pm on Thursday, and 10:00 am – 4:00 pm on Friday and Saturday.  Invite a friend or two to come with you.  Drive down to Naples, have lunch, come to the show; make a day of it.
