RACING TO THE FINISH
It’s Kentucky Derby weekend, so what could be better than to get together and stitch with your Sun Region friends? We’ll be Racing to the Finish at the fabulous Plantation Inn in Crystal River, FL. The retreat will begin on Friday, May 3rd at 12:30 pm and continue until Sunday, May 5th at 4:00 pm. During the retreat there will be some demonstrations of finishing techniques, some hands-on finishing participation, as well as some derby-related fun. Your $160 registration fee includes access to the demonstrations and stitching room all three days, a box lunch on Saturday, and a luncheon on Sunday.

Check out their website for more information about the resort and activities: https://www.plantationoncrystalriver.com/ Room rate is $149 plus $25 resort fee/parking, for a total of $174 per night (plus tax). If you want to upgrade to a patio water view room, that is an additional $30 per night. These rates are available for three days before and after the retreat, and cutoff for reservations is April 2, 2024. To make room reservations, please call 800-632-6262 and refer to Booking Name “Embroiderers Guild of America-Retreat 2024”. A credit card guarantee or a deposit equal to one night room and tax is required. We encourage you to make your reservations ASAP in case we need to add more rooms to our room block.
The resort fee includes WiFi in all guestrooms and public areas, boat parking, driving range, outdoor resort heated pool, hot tub, fitness center, card room and billiards table in the clubhouse, sand volleyball, tennis, pickle ball, croquet, shuffleboard, outdoor giant chess and checkers pad, horseshoes, and a variety of lawn games. Looks like we are going to have some fun!
Registration opens April 29, 2023. Total registration fee is $160. A non-refundable deposit of $50 must accompany this registration form. Non-EGA members must pay an additional $50 registration fee.
