Larkspur Necklace — Barbara Ellis

Create this Bead Embroidered statement necklace featuring the Jade Green cabochon, that is enhanced with coin pearls, labradorite, Gem diamond duos, accent crystals, drops and various accent seed beads. You will use bead embroidery techniques and stitches, including the back stitch, brick stitch, peyote, and embellishment. The necklace is created in several stages and connected together separately to allow for custom sizing and shaping.

Student provides: Beading mat, scissors, magnification and light if needed, fire line smoke 6lb., beading needles size 10 and 12 shorts, a white gel marker, measuring tape and e6000 glue.

Barbara Ellis is originally from Chicago, Illinois and graduated from Ringling School of Art and Design in Sarasota Florida. She has received many awards for her work as a licensed Interior Designer and as a creator of fine jewelry. Barbara also creates and designs her own beaded jewelry pieces and patterns. She has been published in “Beadwork Magazine” several times with her necklace and bracelets designs. She has recently been part of the Toho Challenge event and two of her pieces have traveled to both Japan and Germany on exhibition. She recently was selected as one of the Bead Dreams Finalist in 2017 and 2019. She shares her craft by teaching at Center for the Arts Bonita Springs Florida, Bead Boutique in Naples Florida, Bead and Button and various Embroidery Guild of America events and organizations. Barbara exhibits with the Naples Artcrafters at monthly tent shows and events.
